Little League World Series Continues with Eight Games on Friday

The 2024 Little League World Series kicked off Friday with four games, including a 5-0 loss for Hinsdale Little League of Illinois against Wailuku Little League of Hawaii. The tournament, which features 38 games, continues through August 27 in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

Hinsdale's Performance

Hinsdale struggled at the plate, managing only two hits against Wailuku's strong pitching. Errors also proved costly, as Hinsdale committed four.

Tournament Format

The Little League World Series consists of two separate brackets: one for baseball and one for softball. The tournament features teams from eight U.S. regions and 10 international regions. The top two teams from each bracket advance to the championship games on August 27.
