Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti hailed the "magic" atmosphere of the Santiago Bernabéu stadium as his team staged a stunning comeback to reach the Champions League final. Trailing 3-2 from the first leg, Real found themselves 1-0 down on the night to Bayern Munich. However, substitute Joselu scored twice in three minutes to turn the tie on its head, before Rodrygo added a third to send the Bernabéu into raptures.

Ancelotti praised his team's fighting spirit and determination, and said that the Bernabéu crowd had played a huge role in the victory. "The Bernabéu is a special place," he said. "It's a place where anything is possible. The fans were incredible tonight, and they helped us to believe that we could still win this tie."

Joselu was the hero of the hour for Real, scoring two goals in the space of three minutes to turn the tie on its head. The Spanish striker had only been on the pitch for a few minutes when he headed in Vinicius Junior's cross to make it 1-1. Three minutes later, he was on the scoresheet again, this time finishing off a fine move involving Karim Benzema and Toni Kroos.

Rodrygo added a third goal for Real in the second half, to put the result beyond doubt. The Brazilian winger has been in excellent form for Real this season, and his goal was the icing on the cake of a memorable night for the Spanish giants.

Real Madrid will now face Liverpool in the Champions League final on May 28th. It will be the third time that the two teams have met in the final, with Real winning the previous two encounters in 1981 and 2018.
