Bungie CEO Apologizes for Workplace Toxicity Following IGN Report

Studio Manager Acknowledges Shortcomings

"I am not here to refute or to..."

A major new IGN report has shed light on workplace toxicity at Destiny 2 studio Bungie. The report detailed numerous allegations of bullying, discrimination, and a hostile work environment. In response, CEO Pete Parsons has issued an apology, acknowledging that while the company has made progress in addressing these issues, there is still more work to be done.

"I want to apologize to anyone who has ever experienced anything less than a safe, fair, and professional working environment at Bungie," Parsons wrote in a company-wide email. "I am not here to refute or to make excuses, but to acknowledge that we have fallen short and that we must do better."

Parsons went on to say that Bungie has already taken steps to address the issues raised in the IGN report, including hiring a new HR team and launching an anonymous reporting system. The company is also planning to conduct a company-wide climate survey to gather feedback from employees and identify areas where further improvements can be made.

The IGN report is a reminder that even the most successful companies can struggle with workplace toxicity. It is important for all companies to create and maintain a work environment that is safe, welcoming, and inclusive for all employees.
